What makes you a good traveller?

"I think you have to be easy-going to be a good traveller. You need to be open minded, adaptable to weird situations without getting upset, enjoy the differences we all have and revel in them, and try to learn and speak to others in at least a little of their language by not starting conversations in English. Above al... smile smile smile!
Don't worry about things that will go wrong, because lots will. Just plan a bit, let the energy of the world and fellow travellers flow, and see where your smile takes you... you will be surprised at all the funny stories, amazing experiences and wonderful new friends you'll return with. The hardest part is coming home."
